Written over the last few years and recorded live with a few close friends,
backlot country immerses us in the dream of a strange america.
shaped by hazy childhood memories, this 12-track album
sketches a fragmented and romanticized landscape, where the desire to
return and the need to let go. it ends with backlot fires, a
song written during the fires that recently devastated los angeles,
erasing all traces of this chapter of my life. this song marks
a surreal and cathartic end to a work that seeks acceptance.
